Antelope woman had stolen rifle and metal knuckles at cemetery, Placer sheriff says
Authorities arrested an Antelope woman after she was found with a stolen rifle, bullets, metal knuckles with an attached knife, methamphetamine and morphine in a vehicle parked at a Roseville cemetery, Placer County Sheriff’s officials said.
Talauna Romine, 38, was arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of possession of stolen property, metal knuckles, meth, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, the Sheriff’s Office announced on its Facebook page Thursday.
A sheriff’s deputy was patrolling the area when the deputy saw Romine in the parked vehicle at the Union City Cemetery on Watt Avenue near PFE Road. Officials said the deputy spotted a glass pipe on the driver’s seat where Romine was sitting.
The deputy then searched the vehicle and found a Hi-Point 9mm rifle under a rear seat, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The rifle had been reported stolen in Sacramento County, they said.
The deputy also found a magazine loaded with bullets, along with the metal knuckles with an attached knife in the vehicle’s center console, sheriff’s officials said.
Several backpacks found in the vehicle contained an undisclosed amount of meth and an unmarked bottle containing tablets of morphine, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
