Sacramento Police investigating early morning shooting in South Natomas

Police are looking into a shooting in South Natomas Thursday morning.

The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a Thursday morning shooting that sent one person to a hospital.

It happened around 5 a.m. in a home on the 1100 block of West El Camino Avenue in the South Natomas neighborhood, according to police. But officers responding to the scene could not find those involved in the shooting until closer to 6 a.m., a police dispatcher said.

The man who was wounded is expected to survive, police said. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
