Sacramento police officers find 60 marijuana plants, meth, cocaine and heroin in home

Sacramento police officers seized 60 marijuana plants, 13 pounds of methamphetamine, a pound of cocaine, a pound of heroin and a handgun Monday while serving a search warrant at a home in the North Natomas area.

A marijuana compliance team from the Sacramento Police Department served the search warrant Monday morning at the home in the 3600 block of Rynders Way, said Officer Karl Chan, a department spokesman.

Chan said a 19-year-old man at the home was arrested at home as officers served the search warrant. The Police Department had not released his name.

Photos officers took of the home show the marijuana plants growing in an indoor garden with what appears to be large lamps and a ventilation system. The photos also show what appears to be processed marijuana, along with the cocaine, meth, heroin and the gun confiscated during the drug bust.

Officers also confiscated an undisclosed amount of cash found at the home in the Westlake neighborhood, just west of Interstate 5.

Sacramento Police Capt. Norm Leong, who posted photos of the drug bust on Twitter, reminded residents that it is illegal to grow any marijuana plants outdoors and more than six marijuana plants indoors in Sacramento.
