Pedestrian killed in early-morning hit-and-run in Florin; CHP still looking for driver
A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Florin early Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
In a news release, the South Sacramento CHP unit said that dispatchers were notified at 3:07 a.m. of a pedestrian lying on Florin Road east of French Road.
Officers found the man had suffered fatal injuries. CHP investigators believe that he was hit by a vehicle driving east on Florin. The vehicle had left before law enforcement arrived.
CHP investigators are searching for the vehicle and seeking tips from witnesses who may have seen the crash.
