Man hospitalized after being shot in vehicle in South Natomas, Sacramento police say

A man was shot in a vehicle and hospitalized Tuesday morning in South Natomas, Sacramento police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting near West El Camino Avenue and Seamist Drive around 7:15 a.m., said Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Ryan Woo.

Police arrived at the scene and located “an adult male in a vehicle who had been shot,” Woo said. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

Woo said officers remained at the scene as of 8:30 a.m., investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

No suspect information is available.
