Detectives have arrested a teenage girl in connection with a July shooting in Antelope that killed a 15-year-old boy.

The suspect, identified as 15-year-old Mercedez Perez of Sacramento County, was arrested Nov. 24 on a warrant served at a residence in Idaho, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said in a Monday news release. Perez was detained and arrested after a foot pursuit.

Deputies arrested Perez in connection with a deadly July 19 shooting on Onawa Court. The coroner identified the victim as Omari Lowery.

Perez was booked on suspicion of several charges including homicide and robbery, according to the news release, and is being held without bail.

The Sheriff’s Office said no suspects are outstanding in the shooting.
