Roseville police re-open roadway after suspicious package deemed ‘not a threat’

Police tape at crime scene

Police on Wednesday afternoon briefly closed a stretch of roadway in Roseville as officers investigated a suspicious package found in the area.

The suspicious package was found in the area between Washington Boulevard and Fidelity Way, the Roseville Police Department announced about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday on its Facebook page.

Officers closed all lanes on Washington Boulevard from Roseville Parkway to Blue Oaks Boulevard.

After an hour, around 2 p.m., officers at the scene “determined the suspicious package was not a threat of any kind,” police said, announcing the end of the closure.
