Police closed a portion of a Pleasant Grove Boulevard intersection Thursday in Roseville after a chase ended with a crash and the apprehension of an attempted homicide suspect.

The officers were chasing the suspect in a vehicle that crashed at Pleasant Grove and Sun City boulevards, the Roseville Police Department announced about 11:40 a.m. in a Facebook post.

Police said the attempted homicide suspect was taken into custody shortly after the vehicle crash. The Pleasant Grove Boulevard westbound lanes at the intersection were closed to traffic while authorities worked at the scene. The road was later reopened to traffic.

Police said there was no immediate threat at the time, since the suspect had been detained. The Police Department had not released any further details about the pursuit or the suspect.
