Brothers accused of child abuse that Sacramento County authorities say began in 2007
Two men were arrested on suspicion of child abuse in Sacramento County, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Israel Manalang, 53, was booked Thursday on 15 felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and two felony counts of lewd acts using force, violence or duress.
His brother, Hector Canlas Manalang, 54, was booked on suspicion of two felony counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, and three counts of lewd acts using force, violence or duress.
“There are multiple victims spanning approximately the time frame of 2007 to 2021,” the Sheriff’s Office release stated.
The men were being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail in lieu of bonds of $1.7 million and $700,000, respectively.
