16-year-old boy is wounded in a Sacramento County shooting. Police have made an arrest

A 16-year-old was hospitalized after being shot by another boy in Rancho Cordova, the Police Department reported.

Police responded about 2:37 p.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting the 3000 block of Laurelhurst Drive.

The teen was taken to UC Davis Medical Center and was in critical but stable condition, police said.

The suspected assailant was in custody.
