Police investigators on Tuesday released photos of a suspect believed to have been involved in a stabbing that wounded three people outside a Citrus Heights business.

The Citrus Heights Police Department released images of the unidentified attacker captured on a security camera. The images show a man in a red-hooded sweatshirt walking into what appears to be a convenience store.

The stabbing was reported about 4:30 a.m. Sunday outside the business in the 6100 block of Auburn Boulevard, just south of Greenback Lane.

Police said an argument between those involved escalated to the stabbing, which wounded two teenage boys, ages 16 and 17, and a man. They were stabbed multiple times and were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

On Sunday, police said investigators were looking for a male suspect, about 6 feet tall. He was believed to be accompanied by a female who wears glasses.

Investigators asked any witnesses or anyone with information related to this stabbing investigation to call the Police Department’s Tip Line at 916-727-5524 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357.
