Sacramento deputies investigate homicide after man was shot in vehicle in Arden Arcade
A man died Saturday night after being shot inside a vehicle near a busy Arden Arcade intersection.
The shooting occurred about 11 p.m., and deputies received a call for help at Fulton and Trade Wind avenues, just south of Alta Arden Expressway, according to Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Sgt. Kionna Rowe.
A man suffering from “at least one gunshot wound to his upper body” was found, Rowe said. Deputies rendered medical aid, but Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District paramedics pronounced him dead.
While detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide, Rowe said, details about the shooting and a possible suspect were not available Sunday.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Coroner’s Office.
