Officers responded about 9:49 p.m. to the 6300 block of Whitecliff Way, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

A caller “advised that they heard a possible gunshot that came from or near the residence and requested officers respond ... to ensure the residents were safe,” the release stated.
