Man hospitalized after shooting in Sacramento’s Strawberry Manor neighborhood

A man was seriously injured in a shooting early Monday in North Sacramento’s Strawberry Manor neighborhood, police said.

Officers responding around 1:30 a.m. to the 100 block of Olmstead Drive located a victim with at least one gunshot wound, Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Ryan Woo said. The victim was transported to a hospital.

Police continued to investigate the incident Monday morning, Woo said. No suspect information was released.

Homicide detectives have responded to the scene due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, Woo said.
