A man was arrested Sunday in the “suspicious” death of a man whose body was found in a home after an early-morning fire, according to Sacramento County sheriff’s officials.

Tyrone Gregory, 61, of Sacramento, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of voluntary manslaughter, the Sheriff’s Office said in an update to its original news release after the fire.

No other suspects are thought to be involved, according to investigators.

Sacramento Metro Fire responded to a home on Roseburg Court about 1:40 a.m. for a structure fire, the Sheriff’s Office stated in a Facebook post.

Fire personnel found the man dead inside after the structure was deemed safe to enter. Three other residents were inside at the time of the fire but escaped.

No connection between the suspect and the man who died in the fire was stated in the sheriff’s release. It was unclear if Gregory was one of the three people who escaped the blaze.

The victim was later identified as Terry Andre Williams, 55.
