Homeless bystander injured in Antelope car-to-car shooting, Sacramento sheriff says
A bystander described by authorities as a homeless man was shot multiple times early Thursday morning during an apparent car-to-car shooting in Sacramento County’s Antelope neighborhood.
The shooting took place around 1:15 a.m. near Watt Avenue and Elverta Road, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Amar Gandhi said.
An innocent bystander who was likely homeless was shot “several” times, Gandhi said. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Detectives are continuing to investigate. No other witnesses were located aside from the victim, Gandhi said, and no suspect or suspect vehicle information was available.
