Dead body found at Lake Natoma; Sacramento County coroner will determine cause of death

Authorities on Tuesday afternoon recovered a dead body found at Lake Natoma near Black Miners Bar in Folsom, California State Park officials said.

About 3:30 p.m., state park officials received a call reporting a body had been found at the bottom of a steep embankment near Black Miners Bar.

“While the cause of death is not known at this time, it appears the individual likely fell off the embankment,” state park officials said in a written statement.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Nicholas Robert Baker, 27. The Coroner’s Office is investigating to determine Baker’s cause of death.
