Bank robber threatened employees at bank in South Land Park, Sacramento police say

Police tape at crime scene

The Sacramento Police Department is searching for a suspect who investigators said robbed Chase Bank in South Land Park while threatening employees on Wednesday and fleeing with money.

Investigators were called just before 5 p.m. to Chase Bank at 1331 Florin Road, said Officer Cody Tapley, a spokesman for the Police Department.

The robber “made threats” toward employees while demanding money, Tapley said. There were no injuries, but the male suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, Tapley said.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.

Tapley said it wasn’t immediately clear how much money was taken.
