$84K burglarized from 3 grocery stores in 30 minutes, Northern California sheriff says
The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Thursday morning burglaries that hit multiple grocery stories geared toward the Latino community.
At least one suspect targeted the El Ranchito Market, La Mexicana Market and El Bajio Market in Live Oak early in the morning, deputies said Thursday in a news release. The three stores are located within about a mile of one another, and all are near Highway 99.
The Sheriff’s Office on Thursday declined to comment with additional detail, saying the investigation was ongoing, but in a Friday update the Sheriff’s Office said each incident happened between about 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. with a total loss of about $84,000 across the three stores. Deputies also don’t know how many people were involved in the incident or their potential motive.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call 530-822-7307.
