Sheriff’s deputies investigating a series of thefts arrested a 67-year-old man accused of stealing about $2,000 worth of sports trading cards from a Target store in El Dorado County.

The El Dorado Hills man was arrested on a suspicion of committing felony grand theft and was booked at the El Dorado County Jail. He remained in custody Tuesday with his bail set at $10,000, jail records show. He was arrested Sunday at an El Dorado Hills home after investigators served a search warrant.

Over the past few weeks, deputies worked to identify a suspect in multiple thefts at the Target Store on Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday in a Facebook post.

Sheriff’s officials said about $2,000 worth of sports trading cards were stolen from Target and recovered Sunday after serving the search warrant. The Sheriff’s Office released a photo of the stolen trading cards recovered.
