Police arrest suspect after keys to Roseville mailboxes were stolen in armed robbery

Police tape at crime scene

A suspect was arrested Friday afternoon in connection to an armed robbery of a United States Postal Service employee in which he allegedly stole keys unlocking almost all mailboxes in west Roseville, police said.

A postal employee delivering mail Tuesday afternoon near Mockingbird Street was approached by a suspect with a firearm, police said previously.

The suspect after a struggle took the keys, which have now been retrieved, police said. Those keys unlock all mailboxes in the 95747 ZIP code area.

The 32-year-old man was booked into jail. It was not immediately known what charges he will face.
