Murder-suicide suspected after 2 found shot dead inside Antelope home, Sacramento sheriff says
Sacramento County deputies are investigating the shooting deaths of two people found Wednesday in an Antelope home as a murder-suicide.
Deputies were called just before 4 p.m. to the 3900 block of Running Bear Way after a caller requested a welfare check, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. A neighbor called deputies after the residents had not been spotted for about a week, Sgt. Amar Gandhi, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, said in an update Thursday.
Deputies arrived to the scene and saw through a window a man lying on the ground, Gandhi said. They entered the home and found a man and woman shot to death, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Investigators determined the man shot the woman and then fatally shot himself, Gandhi said.
The identities of both people will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
