Woman shot, killed during south Sacramento jewelry store robbery is identified by coroner
A woman fatally shot last week during a robbery at her husband’s jewelry store when suspects swarmed the business has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Uc Vo, 57, was shot Friday at Kim Tin Jewelry on the 6800 block of Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has not disclosed who fatally shot Vo. Her husband fired a gun during the incident in which at least six people burst into the store Friday morning and smashed glass. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Amar Gandhi said previously that “presumably” the suspects also fired a gun, but that deputies have not determined if they had a handgun or if they suffered injuries.
Deputies have also not announced if any suspect has been arrested or whether anything was taken from the store.
Robin Ha, who owns in a restaurant near Kim Tin, remembered Vo as a sweet lady who always acted friendly. The shooting happened in the Little Saigon neighborhood, which features a tight-knit group of family-owned businesses geared toward the Vietnamese community.
