A Sacramento man is in jail Wednesday in a deadly shooting at a south Sacramento apartment complex.

Hasan Plater, 26, of Sacramento, was arrested Tuesday evening, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office officials said Wednesday.

Plater is being held without bail at Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of murder in the shooting late Friday at the complex in the 3900 block of 48th Avenue.

Deputies called to the complex in the unincorporated Lemon Hill neighborhood about 11:45 p.m. on Friday, found a man in the apartments’ parking lot with gunshot wounds, officials said Wednesday.

Deputies tended to the man, but he did not survive. The man was pronounced dead by the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

Plater is slated to appear Thursday in Sacramento Superior Court for his arraignment.
