Roseville man arrested, accused of shooting his wife multiple times at home, police say
A Roseville husband was arrested in connection to shooting his wife multiple times which left her in critical condition Monday, police said.
Officers were called about 6:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting at a home near Sierra College Boulevard and Miners Ravine Drive, according to the Roseville Police Department.
The woman had fled from a home on Rochdale Street to a neighbor’s home before she was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, according to archived audio dispatch calls reviewed by The Sacramento Bee.
A suspect was apprehended in connection with shooting his wife three times during a domestic violence incident, said Lt. Chis Ciampa, a spokesman with the Roseville Police Department.
In an update issued Tuesday, Ciampa said a 56-year-old man was arrested and booked into South Placer Jail. The suspect faces charges of attempted homicide and inflicting corporal injuries on a spouse, according to online court records.
The woman was reported to be in stable condition Tuesday, Ciampa said.
“There is no ongoing threat to the public, and the area is secure,” he said.
