Placer coroner identifies Lincoln man killed after fight broke out between neighbors
A man who was killed in a fight Tuesday between neighbors in Lincoln has been identified by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, which also identified the homicide suspect who was arrested.
Jonathan Michael Williams, 34, got into an altercation with his 50-year-old neighbor, according to a Lincoln Police Department news release. Williams was found dead after police officers were dispatched to a residence on Earlton Lane in the Lincoln Crossing area about 9 p.m. Tuesday.
A suspect was taken into custody and booked Wednesday into South Placer Jail, according to online jail records. Emmanuel Mbaya Lasu, 50, faces a homicide charge and is being held without bail.
The Lincoln Police Department has not disclosed what led to the neighbors’ fight. The investigation is ongoing.
