A Sacramento County man accused of sexually assaulting a minor faces a judge Friday on the allegations and investigators suspect the man may have had access to many others.

Trevon Lyle, 32, faces three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor at the scheduled hearing in Sacramento Superior Court, said Sacramento County sheriff’s officials. In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office said the minor told investigators she had been assaulted “in multiple instances over a period of time.”

“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” Sheriff’s officials said. “Through Lyle’s employment, detectives are concerned that he had access to numerous other potential unreported victims.”

Sheriff’s investigators on Wednesday arrested Lyle on the charges. Lyle was booked into Sacramento County Main Jail posted $50,000 bail Thursday and was released from custody ahead of his scheduled court appearance.

Sheriff’s detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the investigation to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Sexual and Elder Abuse Bureau at 916-874-5070 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357.
