1 arrested, 1 sought after armed robbery at Domino’s Pizza in Sacramento County, deputies say
Sacramento County deputies are searching for a suspect who’s accused of taking part in a robbery during which another suspect pointed a weapon at a Domino’s pizza cashier and stole about $500.
Deputies were called about 10 p.m. Saturday to Domino’s Pizza on the 8100 block of Gerber Road in south Sacramento for a report of a robbery, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
A suspect had jumped over the sales counter before making away with about $500, according to the news release.
A video provided by the Sheriff’s Office showed two people wearing black clothes and black masks burst into the store as one suspect pointed his gun.
The suspect gestured his gun to the cash register and an employee walked to the front, the video showed. The employee collected cash while the two suspects waited, but the suspect appeared dissatisfied with the amount and waved it away. He jumped over the front counter as the employee got more money from another location. The suspect grabbed several bills, some falling to the ground, as he jumped over the counter and rushed outside.
A 33-year-old suspect was arrested Thursday at a hotel in Arden Arcade, deputies said. He faces charges of robbery and violating his post release community supervision.
That suspect is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Sacramento Superior Court.
Deputies are still searching for the second suspect.
