Shooting death of man and women at apartment deemed murder-suicide, Roseville police say

In an update Monday, Feb. 18, Roseville police said an elderly male and female died of gunshot wounds and that police determined that the incident was a murder-suicide.

Police continue their investigation into the deaths of an elderly couple found fatally shot in their Roseville apartment Thursday night.

Officers were called about 7:30 p.m. Thursday to the Slate Creek Apartments, 8800 Sierra College Blvd., discovered the bodies of a man and woman, Roseville police said. Both had suffered gunshot wounds.

Officials say there are no outstanding suspects in the shooting deaths.

Names have not yet been released by the Placer County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
