Man shot twice at gas station has life-threatening injuries, Sacramento sheriff says

A man was shot twice and sustained life-threatening injuries Friday night in south Sacramento, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting took place in the 8000 block of Florin Road at a Fastrip Gas Station, per a Sheriff’s Office social media post on X at 8 p.m. The man shot twice was transported to the hospital, and deputies detained another man at the scene, the post said.

No other details on the shooting were available as of early Saturday afternoon. A Sheriff’s Office spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
