Woman found shot to death inside North Sacramento apartment identified as 20-year-old

Sacramento police are investigating a possible homicide after a 20-year-old woman was found dead Tuesday from a gunshot wound in North Sacramento.

Officers pronounced the woman dead in an apartment on the 4000 block of Taylor Street, south of Interstate 80, after being called to the residence about 3:30 p.m. Police found the woman had suffered at least one gunshot wound.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation, Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith said. The Police Department has not shared any suspect information.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Lashae Mary Harmon of Sacramento.

The Sacramento Police Department encourages anyone with information about Harmon’s death to contact police at 916-808-5471.
