Bicyclist suffered major injuries in south Sacramento hit and run. CHP looking for driver
The California Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who fled after a hit and run earlier this month left a bicyclist suffering major injuries in unincorporated south Sacramento.
Officers were called about 9:15 p.m. Feb. 16 to Fruitridge Road and 44th Street for a report of a hit and run in front of an ExxonMobil gas station, according to a news release from the CHP’s South Sacramento office.
The bicyclist was pedaling northbound on Fruitridge Road when they were hit by an Acura MDX with a model year between 2007 and 2013, the CHP said.
The vehicle is missing its left or right rearview mirror and left inner fender liner, the CHP said.
Witnesses to this crash are asked to call the CHP at 916-897-5600 or the 916-861-1300.
“Your cooperation is vital in resolving this matter promptly,” the CHP said in a social media post.
