Teen girl found shot to death in south Sacramento neighborhood home identified

Homicide investigation

Authorities are looking for clues after the Sunday shooting death of a 16-year-old girl in south Sacramento was ruled a homicide.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded about 3:15 p.m. to a report of gunfire at a home in the 8000 block of Chriswoods Court in the Florin area. Deputies found the girl, who was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified her Monday as Ajanaye Antontte Wiltz and deemed her death a homicide.

Investigators have not released suspect information or disclosed a possible motive.
