The Elk Grove Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of pointing a gun at bank employees and fleeing with money late last week, police said Monday.

A person went about 6 p.m. Friday to SchoolsFirst Credit Union on Laguna Boulevard and pointed the weapon at several bank employees, according to a news release from the Police Department.

The suspect jumped over the counter and took money from drawers, police said. He then fled on a dark-colored motorcycle with no visible license plate, possibly a Suzuki, police said.

The suspect is described as a male, of unknown height and with a medium build. He was wearing a black-colored Alpinestars motorcycle jacket; blue, gray or light-colored jeans; black shoes; and a gray motorcycle helmet with a dark-colored visor, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Police Department’s detective bureau at 916-478-8043 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357. Tipsters calling the Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
