A Placer County student is under arrest after allegedly threatening a Meadow Vista campus, authorities announced Wednesday.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office will “maintain an increased presence” on the Live Oak Waldorf School campus in the Placer foothill community in response to the unspecified threats, deputies said in a Wednesday statement.

“We want to assure parents and the community there are no additional threats,” the Sheriff’s Office statement read. “We take the safety of our children extremely seriously, and any threat will be fully investigated, with those responsible being held accountable.”

The private school is located in Meadow Vista, about 45 miles northeast of Sacramento
