Two people found dead with gunshot wounds after shooting inside Elk Grove home
Elk Grove police are investigating a double homicide after two people were fatally shot inside a home near Eva Avenue and Adams Street, authorities said Monday.
Shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, the Elk Grove Police Department announced officers were at the scene of a shooting that occurred inside the home in the area of Eva Avenue and Adams Street, just south of Elk Grove Boulevard.
Police said the officers arrived at the home and found two people with gunshot wounds.
“The shooting investigation has been changed to a double-homicide investigation,” the department said in a statement hours after the discovery. “We delayed sharing that information until the victims’ family could be notified.”
