Two men injured, one critically, in shooting along Broadway in Sacramento

Two men were injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon along Broadway in Sacramento.

Just after 12:30 p.m., police responded to a call about a shooting in the 2800 block of Broadway, according to police spokesperson Officer Allison Smith.

Officers located a victim with at least one gunshot wound, and he was transported to a hospital, Smith said.

A second man with at least one gunshot wound also self transported to the hospital in connection with the same incident, Smith said.

One man is in critical condition and the other sustained non-life threatening injuries, Smith said.

Police closed 28th Street at Broadway at around 4 p.m. Sunday in order to conduct an investigation, Smith said.

Police have not released suspect information.
