Police tape at crime scene

Three people were wounded early Sunday in a shooting in Old Foothill Farms, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded around 2 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 4900 block of Little Oak Lane and found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were taken by ambulance to a hospital, sheriff’s officials said.

A third victim was later contacted by deputies after he was apparently driven to a hospital, officials said.

The Sheriff’s Office said the victims were expected to survive. The severity of their injuries had not been confirmed.

Detectives continued to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. No suspect information was released.
