Police tape at crime scene

No arrests have been made in the shooting death of a North Highlands man who died several days after an early-morning argument ended in gunfire.

Two groups were arguing just before 2 a.m. July 6 in the 6600 block of Medora Drive in North Highlands when gunfire struck Alexis Cabrales, 25. He was taken to a hospital where he eventually died July 12 from his injuries, said Sacramento Sheriff’s Sgt. Amar Gandhi.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has classified his death as a homicide.

The investigation continues, Gandhi said, and no arrests have been made.
