Man found shot in head at Arden Arcade gas station in hospital, deputies say

Police tape at crime scene

A man in his 30s remained hospitalized Wednesday after he was shot in the head late Tuesday outside a gas station in Arden Arcade, authorities said.

Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies responded about 10:26 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the Shell station on the 2200 block of El Camino Avenue. The man was found conscious and breathing at the scene, said Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Amar Gandhi. His condition was unchanged as of Wednesday morning.

Deputies found shell casings nearby at Howe Park, on Bell Avenue about two blocks south, suggesting a possible second shooting scene, Gandhi said.

No suspects have been identified, the Sheriff’s Office said.
