A Sacramento County woman was sentenced on Monday to nearly five years in federal prison for possession of more than 200 pieces of stolen mail including credit cards and driver’s licenses.

Stephanie Fahlgren admitted in a plea agreement that she had stolen the mail with a counterfeit U.S. Postal Service key, including during a July 2023 heist that was captured on surveillance video.

When Postal Inspectors raided her home in March 2024, they found the mail and the key, along with 41 debit and credit cards and 11 driver’s licenses, the plea agreement said. Not one of the pieces of mail found by investigators was in Fahlgren’s name, the agreement said.

Fahlgren was arrested in July 2024 and pleaded guilty in April of this year to one count of possession of stolen mail and one count of unauthorized possession of 15 or more access devices, a law enforcement term for the debit and credit cards and the driver’s licenses.

She was sentenced by Senior Judge William B. Shubb to 57 months in prison for each count, to be served concurrently, as well as three years of supervised release.
