A driver who had stolen an Amazon truck trailer full of packages on Friday was stopped by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, authorities said.

Deputies were alerted to the stolen trailer near Watt and Edison avenues in Sacramento County’s Arden Arcade area, according to a post on X by the Sheriff’s Office.

They later stopped the driver near Eureka Road while they were traveling eastbound on I-80 near Antelope, the post said.

Deputies detained the driver, and California Highway Patrol officials responded to the scene to take over the investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
