Roseville police arrested two men early Tuesday in connection with a series of auto burglaries reported in Roseville and Rocklin, authorities said.

Officers responded about 4:30 a.m. to multiple vehicle break-ins outside the Home2 Suites hotel on the 1900 block of Freedom Way, according to a statement from the department. Witnesses also reported seeing a black Chevrolet Impala believed to be tied to those burglaries and others reported in Rocklin a day earlier.

Police said officers later spotted the suspect vehicle on Blue Oaks Boulevard near Highway 65 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver remained in the car, but the passenger fled across the freeway before being apprehended by waiting officers.

The two male suspects, ages 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of six counts of burglary, as well as conspiracy and resisting arrest. They remained in custody Tuesday at South Placer County Jail in Roseville, each held on $20,000 bail, jail records showed.
