Juveniles tied to Roseville HS threat face felony child porn, conspiracy charges
Three juveniles including a Roseville High School student connected to alleged threats to the campus Tuesday now face felony charges including conspiracy to commit murder and possessing child pornography, police said Thursday.
The three boys include a 16-year-old who attends the Roseville campus, a Sacramento County 16-year-old and a 12-year-old boy, also from Sacramento County. All are being held in Placer County juvenile custody, said Roseville Police Department officials in a social media post.
The Roseville High student was arrested on suspicion of felony conspiracy to commit murder and felony possession of child pornography. The second Sacramento County teen was arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment, felony conspiracy and felony possession of child pornography. The 12-year-old faces charges of felony criminal threats and conspiracy, Roseville police said.
Roseville police were called Tuesday morning to the high school campus after a “reported threat of violence” to the school, said department officials. Investigators were able to identify the three, connecting them to threats allegedly made on social media.
The nature of the reported threat was not known Thursday. Police in Thursday’s social media post declined to release additional details of the incident, citing the juveniles’ ages and the ongoing investigation into the case.
