Update: 4-year-old, 3 others in stable condition after Oak Park shooting

Breaking News

Four people including a 4-year-old child remained in stable condition at area hospitals Thursday after they were shot and wounded Wednesday evening in Sacramento’s Central Oak Park neighborhood, said Sacramento police.

Little information was available Thursday on the 6 p.m. shooting in the 3300 block of Ninth Avenue. Officers were called shortly after the shooting to find four people with gunshot wounds including the child, said Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Anthony Gamble. Gamble said all were taken to area hospitals and in stable condition.

Police later Wednesday found what was believed to be the suspect’s unoccupied vehicle, department officials said Thursday morning. No other details about the shooting were immediately available.
