Lincoln police arrested a convicted felon Saturday evening on suspicion of possessing firearms and methamphetamine for sale, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said officers received information the suspect had a firearm and a prior felony conviction and located him on East Ninth Street.

During the arrest, officers found about two ounces of methamphetamine, police said. He was booked into the South Placer Jail.

“LPD will continue to hold those accountable who are intent on selling dangerous drugs and possessing illegal weapons in our community,” the Lincoln Police Department wrote on Facebook.
