A federal judge on Monday sentenced a Sacramento man to 25 years in prison for child sexual exploitation after he met a Maryland teen online and flew her to California.
U.S. District Judge William B. Shubb sentenced Joshua David Price, 36, in the child sexual exploitation case, according to a news release form the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Sacramento.
Federal prosecutors said Price began communicating with the 15-year-old Maryland girl online in 2011. Following a trip he made to Maryland to see her, Price arranged for the girl to get on a flight to Sacramento.
Price then drove the teen to Klamath Falls, Oregon. During the trip to Oregon, Price recorded videos of he and the minor engaged in sexual acts, prosecutors said.
U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, the Klamath Falls Police Department and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Roger Yang prosecuted the criminal case.
