Sacramento police investigate fatal stabbing in city’s North City Farms neighborhood

A man who was found stabbed late Thursday in Sacramento’s North City Farms neighborhood died at a hospital, Sacramento police said Friday.

Few details were immediately available about the attack, which was reported about 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2800 block of Atlas Avenue near Franklin Boulevard.

Responding officers found an adult man suffering from at least one stab wound, according to Sacramento police. Emergency responders took him to a hospital, where he later died.

Sacramento police had not identified a suspect as of Friday. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after his next of kin are notified.
