Sacramento man killed in North City Farms stabbing identified by coroner

Homicide investigation

Sacramento County coroner’s officials have identified the victim of the fatal stabbing last month on Atlas Avenue in south Sacramento as Reynaldo Barraza, 49, of Sacramento.

Sacramento police officers responded June 25 to a report of the stabbing in the city’s North City Farms neighborhood and found Barraza on the 2800 block of Atlas Avenue near Franklin Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department said.

Barraza had been stabbed at least once, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Sacramento homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the killing and have not identified a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department at 916-808-5471.
