What is the status of Tim Nosal after his arrest?

– Joe, Carmichael

Timothy Robert Nosal, 49, of Fair Oaks was arrested in July after he allegedly went to Auburn expecting a sexual rendezvous with a 13-year-old girl and was met instead by Placer County sheriff’s detectives.

According to a story in The Sacramento Bee, Nosal originally attracted the attention of detectives with an online ad. A detective corresponded with Nosal for several weeks, posing as a 13-year-old girl. On the day of his arrest, Nosal reportedly drove from his job in Rancho Cordova for a planned meeting with the “girl” at Ashford Park in Auburn.

He was booked on suspicion of communicating with a minor with the intent to commit a sexual act and attempted lewd and lascivious acts with someone younger than 14.

According to Placer County Superior Court online records, his next court date, for a status conference, is Dec. 3.
